Title: Volume

As several people have stated, we need to add volume options to the menu. I will create a new input processor for the menu (slider, it will use the twirl and go back and forth to show the volume) and we will have one for the music and one for the sound effects. Plus, we can use some of the sound effects and music from Keen 4-6 (as well as some unused tunes) to supplement what it already there, we would distribute it as the High Quality Pack.

Then we would release the Mod Creation Pack, it would include instructions on how people can make their own high quality sounds and graphics to use in their mods, and then we could include our old HQ sounds as an example of that system, as well as including a tutorial on how to create custom high quality graphics and a tutorial on how to create custom physics for their mods. This would help out with the modding community and creating awesome mods that are compatible with CG.

Then we could have a person that goes through mods that are either abandoned or people just don't want to continue to support them, and look over the patch file to see what they change and adjust the physics and make stuff like level replayability default. Obviously, we will never have complete support for mods of the original games, but we can do the best we can to make it a similar experience to playing the original mods.

I have been thinking about that feature too. One slider for sound and another for music would be awesome.

If you want to create a slider, well, it's okay. Just remember to integrate the way it's reusable in all menus and not just a workaround under Audio settings. I think, if you use CDialog and a funcion you might call addSlider(text, max, min) [like addText()] you might get good results.

About the implementation, where those new variables volume needs to be used in the SDL part, I will take care of, if you don't know where. I got good experience with it, and as HQ Music was my idea and implementation back then, I know where those new variable will have to go...

I have another request, but only if you want to support it. Two options called "HQP Sound" and "HQP Music" that can be enabled and disabled. Maybe muting the music using your slider could do that.

Tell me what you think...

Yeah, I'm going to make it more like Keens 4-6, where it lets you choose between PC speaker sound and the other kind, except I'll add an HQP option, but When we implement my idea for higher quality sound from the Keens 4-6 games to use in 1-3, then there will be a good number of options. I'll also make a toggle in the graphics menu for the HQ graphics, and then soon we can include them in the main download rather than as a separate one.
